Christmas is over, charm starting to fade
King George the 6th, where one will be made
They circle at the start, the legend so quiet
The punters shaking heads, even they won't buy it
Pilot of the legend, he sits statue still
"Please boy, don't put me through the mill"
Starter mounts his rostrum, away they canter
Faceless men stand motionless, but loads of banter
Conversation a plenty, "The 3's a concern"
"But the Betfair was good, and he has to learn"
They speed towards home, tearing at the ground
The gem stays put, not a whisper not

Now, for many, many reasons this is the most important time of year for a racing enthusiast, however I fear that most people here won't really be interested in that.... So, here goes!
Cheltenham is to the racing enthusiast what beer is to the Curry enthusiast. The festival is in the middle of March (near my birthday) butit gives me the opportunity to get photos. Yayyy!
